Web Design Information and Pricing

Every web site has its own unique features and design requirements.  The price varies with the complexity of the site and the length of time it will take to build.  For example, sites with media galleries (photos, videos, audio, etc.), shopping carts or e-commerce features, message forums, custom forms, etc. are more complex sites and will cost more.  They will also take more time to design.  Simpler sites, (i.e. those with less than 5-6 pages and smaller multimedia requirements) will take less time to build and will cost less.  Other sites will fall in the middle depending on the required features.  Communication is essential for an accurate quote.  We must know what requirements and features you want in your site.  Contact Us by filling out the e-mail form and we'll discuss your needs and provide you with an accurate price quote.  You will find that most web designers will charge much more than what you find here.  At 3 Alarm Web Design you can get many of the same features in your site for less!

Site Maintenance and Updating

If you desire to learn Joomla yourself and make your own updates we highly recommend it.  Joomla is easy to use and no knowledge of HTML or web design is required to make updates to your site.  We realize however that updating a web site is sometimes not for everyone and we are available to make content updates on your site for a montly fee.  Submit your new articles, photos, video or audio clips to us and we will add them to your site for you.  Design changes, new features, creation of graphics, audio, videos, etc are not considered content updates and would not be included in the monthly fee.

Hosting/Domain Requirements

There are some special hosting requirements that must be met in order to use a Joomla! based web site.  If you do not have a hosting provider that meets those requirements, we will help you find and obtain a host for your site.  This is done at no extra charge and is part of our web design process.  We will make sure that you have a host that meets the requirements of using a Joomla! site and is also economically friendly.  If you need to register or move a domain name we will assist you in that process as well. 

The Process

If you are interested in using 3 Alarm Media Design to design your website, starting the process is simple.  Just e-mail us on our contact page and we will return your e-mail with a questionnaire.  These questions will help us determine what the needs are for your site so we can prepare an accurate quote.  You will also be asked for some contact information so we may discuss the project in detail.  Once we have an idea of your needs we will assist you if necessary in setting up the required web hosting and once that is finished we will begin designing your site.  We'll keep in touch with you throughout the process and you will be able to watch your site and give us feedback as it is being built.  Once the site is finished and ready to go live we will optimize the site for the most popular search engines and submit the address to the search engines as well so people can find you.  We also will keep an administrator log in account to your site so that we can assist you with any problems that may arise after the site is running.  Our goal is to provide a smooth and trouble free process and help you as much as possible.  Please contact us if you are interested and we'll help you create a web site that will be easy to use, visitor friendly, attractive, and profitable!
